The Raymond Briggs cartoon is brought to life on stage in this popular seasonal show.

A boy's snowman comes to life and takes him on a magic journey. The nauseating haunting song "Walking In the Air" features throughout.

Celebrating 28 years of annual runs at this theatre.

Not available.

Based on paying FULL PRICE (no discount!) for tickets, site writers and contributing guests have ALSO created the colour-coded plans for "value for money," considering factors like views, comfort and value-for-money compared with other same-priced seats available.

Some notes for this extra event appear below. For a full discussion, opinions, reviews, notes, tips, hints and advice on all the seats in this theatre, visit the theatre page (link at the top of this page) and click on "BEST SEAT ADVICE" (on the left of your screen).

On the plans below:
Seats in GREEN many feel may offer either noticeable value, or something to compensate for a problem; for example, being a well-priced restricted view ticket. Any seats coloured LIGHT GREEN are sold at "premium" prices because the show producer thinks they are the best. The monkey says "you are only getting what you pay for" but uses this colour to highlight the ones it feels best at the price, and help everybody else find equally good seats nearby at lower prices.

Seats in WHITE, many feel, provided about what they pay for. Generally unremarkable.

Seats in RED are coloured to draw attention. Not necessarily to be avoided - maybe nothing specific is wrong with them, other than opinions that there are better seats at the same price. Other times there may be something to consider before buying – perhaps overpricing, obstructed views, less comfort etc.

Please remember that cheaper seats often do not offer the same view / location quality as top price ones, and that ticket prices are designed to reflect this difference.

Peacock Theatre The Snowman value seating plan

Front centre stalls are “premium” – frankly, central G and H 9 to 23 behind them offer a better view at top non-premium prices.

Elsewhere in the centre block, prices drop further forward than usual, at R, U, Y and Z. Take these rows before the ones in front to get the same view, cheaper.

Side block prices are also fairer than usual. Outer ends of B to G are second price, a way to be much closer to the stage for far fewer bananas. The angle is slightly better if you take outermost seats on the ends of L to O at the same price, but the monkey would probably take the four seats off the centre aisle in R to T.

At third price ends of P to S are fair value, and the corners of W and X at lowest price are also pretty fair.

In the dress circle, centre A and B at premium price are worth missing for being a fair way back. Side block C and D near the centre aisle is worth a glance at second, though.

Skip row E if under 5ft 3, take the ends of F at the same price, or centre H. All outer corners are also fairly priced, feels the monkey, and lowest price centre row J is doing quite well, it feels.

The monkey advises checking performance times on your tickets and that performances are happening as scheduled, before travelling.
