WHERE TO BUY TICKETS / "BUY OR AVOID" SEAT GUIDE

Ends 19th April 2025.

Based on autobiographical “Les Annees” by Annie Ernaux, adapted into a play for Dutch audiences by Eline Arbo - from which Stephanie Bain derives this English version, it follows an ordinary woman, Annie’s, life.

Five actors share the role, also playing all the other characters who aid, abuse or simply discard her.

First seen at the Almeida Theatre in Summer 2024, the original cast, plus Tuppence Middleton (replacing Romola Garai) transfer to the West End for a limited season.

Legacy reader reviews

Sat in D6 in Dress Circle, it has a pillar so is much cheaper but virtually no impact.

The play is just brilliant. I laughed and cried. It's stunningly performed.

Just go see it.

5 stars.

A11 Stalls, front row. There's a bit of a plinth thing and the stage sticks out a bit further than usual so that takes away some views upstage and when some stuff happens on the floor, but the ticket was £27 so good value for money to watch a terrific proper play. If it's helpful to know, the actors are all mic'd up and I'm sure you would hear every word at the back of the balcony. I'm getting old and being able to hear is becoming a bigger challenge than being able to see...
